Each
class consists of a warm up followed by a Qi Gong form; either
Da Peng Gong or Dao Yin. The emphasis of Da Peng Gong
is to open the spine and release the core physical blockages while
rooting the Qi, whereas the goal of Dao Yin is to move the internal
energy, release energetic blockages, and root the Qi. These forms
develop sensitivity to energy - a must for Tai Chi Chuan enthusiasts,
excellent for healing and good for all round relaxation. After
this super charge of Qi (energy) we will learn the long form of
Yang style Tai Chi Chuan. The focus of Tai Chi Chuan will be on
developing good gross basic movements. We end
each class with quiet sitting which creates restful awareness.
